London International Volleyball Extravaganza (LIVE) 2009

A short Summary of the Events
London Spikers Volleyball Club’s held its latest and most successful tournament this year, with a fun packed weekend of Volleyball and social Events. We were delighted to have competing teams from Belgium, The Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Spain and far away Canada.
The weekend started on Friday evening with a welcome reception at the Pendulum Bar, Soho, where participants collected customized registration bags, welcome drinks and met their accommodation hosts.
Saturday saw lots of competitive Volleyball being played in 4 categories at our Home base of Bethnal Green Sports centre, supported all day with a non stop supply of great food and refreshments. Later on, after the match Finals, a glass of Champagne welcomed everyone to Shadow Lounge Nightclub, in Soho, for an evening of Prize giving, presentations, dancing and a spectacular Beyoncé review Show.
Sunday we hosted our delicious Brunch at DimT restaurant, located next to the River Thames and overlooking Tower Bridge. This was followed by farewell speeches and then a guided walking tour of Historic London along the river. In the late afternoon, and at the end of our tour, we shared our last farewell drinks on the deck of a Ship , and this is where we ended our fun packed weekend.
